Well, here we are in the new year... 2020... Greetings to everyone and may this year be a peacefull and productive one.
So let me tell you a little bit about last year. It was a year of great strides for Gravações Tunguska.
New editions, new contacts, new bands, new internet content, lots of work towards the spread of the "waves of Tunguska".
Talking about the 2019 editions we can say that one of our greatest prides is having released the third full-length of HOMO, entitled "A Good Dog Is A Bad Wolf" - this is an extremely powerfull album of dark ambient music that will take the listener on a greyish trip towards the inner questions that haunt mens souls. Another reference which was both an innovation as a return to the golden past is the release of the double-cassette containing the first two albums of Sektor 304. An innovation for it was the first collaboration of Gravações Tunguska with another label, namely New Approach Records. And the pride of having in our roster one of the main industrial noise music acts of the portuguese underground scene. This is a deluxe edition, quite limited in 100 copies, for the true collectors, which is by now almost sold out, so get yours while you can!
Finally, the debut in compilation form of an artist that previously was only available through streaming in bandcamp. Seeking out the spirit is a marvelous compilation cassette of delicate beauty of this young russian artist. Everyone who listens to it falls in love, for these are sounds of honey pure melancholy.
This year that has passed was also a year when work began towards production of new editions in pressed cd format. Although several delays were forced upon us by the concrete nightmares of the real world, starting around the middle of the year work towards releasing an album of the project DAO from Barcelona is almost finished, the cd should be released this January 2020. The album entitled "Desolate Landscapes" is a master-piece of drone-ambient and will be the third full release of this project. Another edition which began to take form this year was the collaboration with Satanath Records to release the symphonic opus "Hyperborea" of Astarium. I will not waiste many words here to praise Astarium, as it is an already well established band on its genre. I only say we await with great antecipation and excitement to see this work of intense power released in cd format in March 2020.
